Destiny Etiko Condemns Murder of Anambra Businessman, Fish Magnet

Popular Nollywood actress, Destiny Etiko, has expressed deep sorrow over the gruesome murder of Anambra-based businessman, Ifesinachi Onyekere, popularly known as ‘Fish Magnet’.

Onyekere, said to be the son of a prominent All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) figure, was reportedly abducted and killed by unknown assailants during a late-night attack.

Reacting to the tragedy, the 35-year-old actress said the news left her deeply unsettled.

“The painful demise of this hardworking and promising young man has kept me dumbstruck,” Etiko lamented.

Questioning the motive behind the killing, she wrote, “What was his offense? Just because he chose to be useful to himself? Some people are not human at all. Kidnapping and taking money from him wasn’t enough. Must you also take his life?”

Etiko, who hails from Enugu State, also voiced concern over the rising spate of insecurity across the country, especially in the southeast.

“Our government must urgently address the worsening security situation. This tragedy is becoming a nightmare. We need maximum security in all states, especially in the eastern region of Nigeria,” she appealed.
