
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in a Friday interview following a special Juma’ah prayer session for the nation and to mark his 73rd birthday at the National Mosque, affirmed his commitment to national peace and stability.
The President, who turns 73 on March 29, 2025, expressed gratitude for God’s protection and grace.
“I feel good. I feel happy. I thank the Almighty Allah,” the President stated, emphasizing the importance of prayer for the nation’s prosperity. “We prayed for our country. We prayed for the stability and peace of the nation. We prayed that Almighty Allah will safeguard our people and all citizens.”

President Tinubu emphasized the dual pillars of “hard work and hard prayers” as guiding principles for the nation’s progress. He quoted, “The word for all of us is hard work. You work harder, and you pray harder. That’s the inspiration I got from today’s sermon.”
In a further demonstration of national unity, Dr. Abdulkadir Salman Solagberu, the Malami Ubandoma of Ilorin Emirate, and other clerics led special prayers for the nation and the President. Dr. Solagberu expressed continued prayers for President Tinubu’s health, strength, and wisdom in leading the nation.
Imam of the National Mosque, Prof. Muhammad Kabir Adam, commended the President and his wife for their Ramadan charity efforts, urging Muslims to continue prayers for the President, the nation, and those in need.
The special Juma’ah prayer session was attended by Vice President Kashim Shettima, Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin, National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, ministers, service chiefs, and members of the President’s family.
