Ice Prince Reveals MI Abaga Trained Him: “I Can Never Drop a Wack Verse”
Veteran Nigerian rapper Ice Prince has credited MI Abaga with shaping his rap career, describing him as the mentor behind his lyrical prowess and confidence.
In a recent chat with Isbaeu on Curiosity Made Me Ask, the Oleku crooner revealed that everything he knows about rap was taught by MI, whom he referred to as his “big brother.”
Ice Prince acknowledged MI’s influence on his growth as an artist, noting that the mentorship he received built a solid foundation for his musical journey.
He said: “I can rap on any beat, with anybody, any rapper and I will stand out. I’m not going to have a wack verse on a song. I’m not saying other rappers cannot rap or do their thing but it can’t be said that I’m wack. I was brought up by the best, shout out to MI Abaga.”
Having risen to fame in 2011 with the smash hit Oleku, Ice Prince has maintained a strong presence in the Nigerian music scene, known for his unique flow and impactful collaborations.
