
For the second time in one week, students of Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University (IBBU), Lapai, have been victims of a violent robbery incident at off-campus lodges.
The latest attack occurred on Sunday at Khairat Lodge and Investors Lodge, where armed robbers injured a student and a private security guard, and stole valuables worth millions of naira.Students recounted a terrifying ordeal, with robbers breaking into rooms, threatening them with weapons, and collecting their phones and other items.
However,the incident has sparked fear among students living off-campus, who are now calling on the authorities to take immediate action to safeguard their lives and property.

This is the second robbery incident in one week, following a similar attack at Wonder and Eunice Lodges behind the Lapai Sharia Court.Students are demanding urgent action from the Lapai Local Government Council, the Emirate Council, the University Management, and relevant security agencies.
Investigations are ongoing, but no official statement has been released by the university authorities or local police.
