SDP National Chairman Raises Concern Over Withdrawal of Security Detail

The National Chairman of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Alhaji Shehu Musa Gabam, has raised alarm over the withdrawal of his officially approved mobile police security for the past three months.
Gabam stated that, as the leader of a political party, he is entitled to police protection, which was previously granted following due process and approval from the Inspector General of Police (IGP).
However, despite fulfilling all necessary requirements, his security detail was suddenly withdrawn.

He described the move as an attempt to suppress voices advocating for good governance and transparency.
Gabam further stressed that the issue extends beyond his personal safety, insisting that the government must take responsibility if anything happens to him.
Despite the situation, he reaffirmed his commitment to the SDP’s vision for a better Nigeria, declaring that no amount of intimidation would deter him from his mission.
