Senate passes bill to create 3 new federal universities

The Nigerian Senate has passed the bill to create three new federal institutions during a plenary session on Tuesday.

Barau Jibrin, the Deputy Senate President ruled over the session where the bills successfully passed their third reading.

The newly approved institutions include the Federal University of Sports in Afuze, Edo State, the Federal College of Nursing and Midwifery in Otu-Jeremi, Delta State, and the Federal College of Nursing, Midwifery, and Health Sciences in Isiala Mbano, Imo State.
