lawyer Urges Governor Soludo To Take Decisive Action Against The Rising Wave Of Killings In Anambra

A lawyer, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, has called on Anambra State Governor, Charles Soludo, to deal with criminals.

The attorney emphasized the urgent need for the state government to implement effective measures to enhance security and protect the lives of residents.

He said the governor must prioritise action over mere words and public speeches.

Ejiofor was reacting to Monday’s attack in which gunmen killed two security operatives and five residents in Ihiala.

The lawyer said in a statement: “The events in Ihiala are a reminder of the siege our state is under.

“The loss of innocent lives to these atrocities is tragic. Watching those clips, I am filled with grief and outrage. My heart bleeds!

“Anambra is in dire straits, and the time has come for Governor Soludo to shift focus from media narratives to tackling the real perpetrators desecrating our land.

“Every son of Anambra must rise up to the challenge, joining forces to eradicate these predators who exploit every opportunity to terrorise and retreat into their dens.”

Ejiofor called for collective action, saying the criminals are not strangers.

He added: “Our resolve must be resolute. It is unacceptable to continue tolerating the political compromises that endanger our people. Where is the value we place on human life and dignity?

“These criminals are no strangers – they are shielded by those in our communities.

“The state must deploy every resource to protect its people. Anambra cannot remain a haven for such heinous acts. The time for lip service is over.

“Enough is enough. We must act now with unity, strength, and an unyielding commitment to reclaim our state from these evil forces.

“Together, we can restore the peace and security our people deserve.”
