Singer Portable pleads for forgiveness as court adjourns case
Zazoo’ singer, Habeeb ‘Portable’ Okikiola, has said that he is now remorseful as he was was on Thursday, February 19, arraigned at the Isabo Magistrate Court in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
He also told the court that he had learnt his lesson.
Portable spoke through his lawyer, Oluwatoyin Ayodele, who also sought a bail for him.
The 30-year-old was declared wanted for allegedly assaulting officials of Ogun State Planning and Development Permit Authority (OGPDPA).
He had repeatedly ignored police invitations following the arrest and arraignment of his protégés before an Abeokuta Magistrate Court.
The charges include conspiracy, assault and restriction, armed with cutlasses and guns, conduct likely to cause harm.
He pleaded not guilty to the charges.
His proteges – nine in number – were arraigned for similar charges on February 6.

After pleading not guilty to the charges, Ayodele urged the court to grant him bail.
Ayodele assured the court that the suspect “is now remorseful and has learnt his lessons.”
He adjourned the case till March 5 for trial.
