
Six Nigerian Law School Students Kidnapped on Wukari–Benue Road
Six students of the Nigerian Law School, Yola campus, have reportedly been kidnapped by suspected armed men along the notorious Wukari–Benue highway.
The abduction occurred lately as the students were travelling back to campus in Adamawa State after completing their compulsory court externship. They were expected to resume academic activities on Monday, July 28.
A fellow student of the Yola campus, who identified himself simply as Johnson, confirmed the incident, revealing that the kidnappers have contacted the families of the victims and are demanding a ransom of ₦20 million for their release.
Those reportedly abducted include Rev. Ernest Okafor, Ogbuka Fabian, Nwamma Philip, Okechukwu Obadiegwu, Obalem Emmanuel, and Obiorah David.
The victims were travelling in a commercial vehicle operated by AJ Dan Pullo Transport Company, based in Onitsha, Anambra State.
The Wukari–Benue axis has become increasingly dangerous in recent months, with a series of reported incidents involving kidnappings and armed attacks.
As of the time of filing this report, there has been no official response from the Nigerian Law School, security agencies, or the Adamawa State Government regarding the incident.
