Strong Hailstorm Destroys Crops on Mambilla Plateau – Taraba State

A strong hailstorm hit the Mambilla Plateau, causing serious damage to farmlands and crops. The storm came without warning, bringing heavy hailstones that pounded the fields and left a trail of destruction in its path. Many farmers were caught off guard and are now counting their losses.

Although the full extent of the damage is still being assessed, early reports show that key crops such as maize, Irish potatoes, and vegetables were badly affected. Some farmlands were completely covered in ice, making it difficult for farmers to salvage anything.
