Suspected Cultists Brutalise Lagos TikToker

Popular Lagos-based TikToker, Kesari Okala, has been left injured after allegedly being attacked by suspected cultists in the Ikola area of the state.

The incident occurred on Sunday and was captured in a video obtained by FCNN on Wednesday, showing Kesari writhing in pain and rolling on the floor.

Narrating his ordeal to a relative who filmed the video, the visibly shaken influencer said he had been waiting for a motorcycle at a bus stop when members of a suspected cult group, returning from a meeting nearby, descended on him.

“You see the Aye in your area? See what they did to me,” he said tearfully. “I was waiting for a bike at the bus stop. I told you they were having a meeting down the street. As they were coming back, they attacked me. Did they want to kill me? I’m tired of all this. What happened now?”

Kesari sustained a stab wound to the head from an unidentified object, with blood stains visible on his body.

The attack came barely 24 hours after a man was hacked to death in the same community. A source told reporters that the victim, who was allegedly targeted by a rival cult group, had his hand severed and taken away.

“A man was killed here on Saturday. They said cultists attacked him. His hand was cut off and taken away. We couldn’t identify him because he wasn’t from our area,” the source said.

Cult-related violence has been on the rise in Lagos.
