Real Madrid Eye Osimhen as Potential Vinicius Junior Replacement

Real Madrid is reportedly contemplating a bid for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen during the upcoming summer transfer window.

The Nigerian forward has been in outstanding form while on loan at Galatasaray this season, netting 28 goals and providing five assists in 32 appearances across all competitions.

Although Osimhen is set to return to Napoli this summer, he is anticipated to leave the Italian club on a permanent basis, with several clubs vying for his signature.

Manchester United has been heavily linked with the 26-year-old, who has scored 76 goals and contributed 12 assists in 133 appearances for Napoli since joining from Lille in 2020.

According to Fichajes, Real Madrid has also expressed interest in Osimhen, viewing him as a potential replacement for Vinicius Junior, who has been connected to a lucrative move to Saudi Arabia.

In addition, Juventus is reportedly intensifying its efforts to acquire Osimhen ahead of the summer transfer window.

TEAMtalk has indicated that he has become a priority target for the struggling Serie A club, which will face stiff competition from various Premier League teams and Saudi Pro League clubs.

Osimhen’s impressive form in Turkey has made him a highly sought-after player.

Meanwhile, Napoli’s sporting director, Giovanni Manna, has recently traveled to London to meet with officials from Chelsea and Manchester United regarding Osimhen’s future, as reported by Il Mattino.

Osimhen holds a €75 million buyout clause in his contract with Napoli, which can be activated this summer.

While Juventus is keen on securing the striker’s services, Napoli prefers that Osimhen does not remain in Serie A. Chelsea, who made an unsuccessful bid for him in January, plans to pursue him again as they look for a new center-forward.

Manchester United is also interested but will need to balance their finances by selling players before making any purchases this summer.
