Air Peace Expands Fleet with First Embraer 190 Aircraft

Air Peace has welcomed its first Embraer 190 aircraft, marking a significant milestone in its regional expansion plans. A second aircraft of the same model is expected to arrive in July 2025.
The 118-seater jet, registered as 5N-CEF, landed at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos on Sunday. This is the first time the Embraer 190 has joined the airline’s fleet and is set to enhance connectivity across Nigeria and the wider West African region.
In a statement to journalists, Air Peace spokesperson Osifo-Whiskey Efe described the acquisition as a strategic addition. “This aircraft type introduces a new level of efficiency and comfort to our operations. With features like a 2-2 seating configuration, quiet engines, and a spacious cabin, it’s well-suited for our regional and domestic routes,” Efe said.
He emphasized that the move aligns with the airline’s goal of expanding access to air travel in Nigeria through sustained investment in modern, fuel-efficient aircraft.
“With over 30 aircraft in our fleet, Air Peace continues to lead the aviation sector in West Africa,” he noted. “As of May 2025, we achieved an average on-time performance of 85% across our domestic network, underscoring our commitment to reliability and excellent service.”
