In our bid to enhance digital education system of learning, a sum of N995m was approved for the procurement of over 1,000 laptops with contents in educational and vocational skills for Senior Secondary Schools in the FCT while examination materials will also be provided.
Also, the council approved the procurement and distribution of 550 metric tonnes of fertiliser to farmers in FCT. The inputs to be procured are 250 metric tonnes of NPK fertiliser, 300 metric tonnes of Urea, 310 knapsack sprayers and 3,500 litres of liquid fertiliser among others.
The Council also deliberated on the relocation of the Apo Automobile Mechanics and Spare Parts Dealers currently trading on the road corridor in Apo. The Council resolved to address all the grey areas affecting the relocation exercise to allow for the smooth relocation of the traders to a permanent site in Wasa District.
Finally, a memorandum presented by the Acting Executive Secretary of the FCDA for the award of the contract for the design, construction, and furnishing of the proposed office complex for the Body of Benchers in Abuja was approved. Construction of the office complex will provide befitting accommodation and create an enabling environment for the Body of Benchers to carry out its statutory functions.
