Gunmen Attack Police Checkpoint in Anambra, 3 Dead

Three people were killed in a gunmen attack on a police checkpoint in Isuofia, Anambra State, on Thursday night.
FCNN gathered that the deceased include two hoodlums and a security operative. The gunmen, who were described as armed criminals, attacked the security checkpoint, but were repelled by the Anambra Joint Security Team.
One of the security team’s vehicles was burnt by the bandits, while they abandoned their own vehicle, a Toyota Sienna, and fled the scene.

The Police Commissioner has condemned the attack and vowed to apprehend the perpetrators.Calm has returned to the area, with security reinforced and operatives searching for the fleeing suspects.
