Umahi breaks fast with Muslim community in Ebonyi

David Umahi, the Minister of Works, alongside Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Leadership on Sunday joined the Muslim Community in Ebonyi state in breaking their fast.

The former governor of the state, hosted a cross section of Muslim community in Abakaliki, capital of the state.

Albaji Danjuma Gambo led the Muslim community to the event while the CAN delegation was led by the State Chairman, Scamb Nwokolo.

Umahi urged them to keep praying for the President and for the peace and prosperity of the country.

“In your prayers, please pray for the President, for his success, for all the great work he is doing because he came in the name of God and God has shown himself so mighty strong for our President.

“We pray that God will guide him in good health and everything good he thinks for this nation will come to pass, he will achieve it and of course as we prepare to complete our first tenure that he will also be re-elected for second tenure so that he will complete the good job that he has started.

“Things are turning around, God is showing himself so strong in our administration and the worst is over. God is helping us mightly and marvelously”, he said

David Umahi, the Minister also praised the Governor of Ebonyi State, Francis Nwifuru for the peace and cordial relationship he has built among the people of the state.

“The Governor is doing all his best to develop the state. You will pray for him for God to guide him and that he will complete his four years tenure and give him victory for the second year tenure and that God will lift Ebonyi State for peace, for prosperity, for wealth , for good governance”, he said.

The Leader of the Muslim Community in the state, Danjuma Gambo, commended Umahi for not discriminating against the Muslim community right from when he was governor.

Gambo pledge that the Muslim Community in the state will continue to pray for the President Tinubu and Governor Nwifuru.

The leader of the Muslim community also pledge their support to the state government, saying, they will continue to maintain the cordial relationship between Christians and Muslims in the state.
