The Presidency has confirmed that Dr. Betta Edu, the suspended Humanitarian Minister, will not return to her position.
Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to President Tinubu on Information and Strategy, revealed this on Sunday while featuring on Channels Television’s “Politics Today” program.
The special adviser to the President said Dr. Edu will not return as Minister, emphasizing that President Tinubu has made his decision.
Onanuga insisted, “She is gone” when asked about Dr. Edu’s suspension, which has not resulted in formal termination.
Dr. Betta Edu was suspended in January over alleged misappropriation of funds in the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and has since been under investigation with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) who is yet to make its findings public.
