Canada-based Nigerian eyes Guinness World Record with 48-hour leadership marathon

Canada-based Nigerian leadership coach and author, Peter Adeleke, is set to attempt a Guinness World Record by delivering a 48-hour non-stop leadership lesson in Calgary.
The marathon session, scheduled for August 29–31 at 451 Northmount Drive NW, Calgary, aims to break the current record of 24 hours. Adeleke, who is targeting a minimum of 30 hours and up to 48 hours, has structured the event into continuous four-hour modules. Participation is free, with in-person attendees also offered free meals.
Adeleke, author of Born to Lead, Called to Serve and known by his stage name Peter Trailblazer, said the attempt goes beyond record-setting.
“It’s not just about breaking a record, it’s about changing the narratives of leadership for today and tomorrow,” he explained in a video announcing the challenge.
He emphasized that leadership is a skill that can be developed:“Leaders aren’t born, they are made. My goal is to reshape how we think about leadership — to inspire people to become more effective, authentic, and impactful.”
In an article on his website, Adeleke described the challenge as a “one-stop leadership solution” designed to empower professionals, entrepreneurs, and visionaries.
The program will integrate faith and transformational leadership principles, focusing on emotional intelligence, strategic planning, conflict management, communication, and leading change.
The marathon will also feature a job fair component, linking participants with career and business opportunities.
