Kindly share this story

The Kogi State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has indefinitely suspended the member representing Yagba East-West/Mopamuro Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Leke Abejide, citing gross insubordination and anti-party activities.

In a statement signed by the State Secretary, Adaji John, the party said Abejide recently held a meeting with ADC members in Abuja without seeking clearance from the state leadership.

The lawmaker is accused of attempting to usurp the powers of the state chairman and secretary, making derogatory remarks about the party’s leadership, and undermining the party’s interests.

The Kogi ADC warned Abejide that continued defiance could result in his expulsion. It also cautioned other members against participating in unauthorized gatherings, stressing that such actions would attract strict disciplinary measures.
