Pep Guardiola to Leave £8.5M Barcelona Mansion After Split from Wife Cristina
Pep Guardiola is set to vacate his £8.5 million mansion in Barcelona following his unexpected split from wife Cristina Serra after 30 years together.
Reports from Spain on Monday revealed that the Manchester City manager and Cristina, a fashion entrepreneur, have decided to go their separate ways. The couple, who share three grown-up children, Maria (24), Marius (22), and Valentina (17), had spent last Christmas together at the luxurious property.
Cristina is expected to remain in the family home, a stunning four-story mansion located in Barcelona’s elite neighborhood. Guardiola purchased the property in February 2021 for €10 million (£8.4 million) from a Russian businessman through a company he co-managed with Cristina. The mansion, which once belonged to his former Mexican teammate Rafa Marquez, spans over 22,000 square feet, with the house itself covering 8,000 square feet. It also boasts a large swimming pool and sits near the scenic Carretera de les Aigües dirt tracks.
While Guardiola frequently stayed at the Barcelona mansion during visits from Manchester, his future accommodation in the Catalan capital remains uncertain. Currently, his Manchester base is a high-rise apartment in Deansgate CitySuites, central Manchester. The building features 16 floors and houses 237 apartments, with Guardiola reportedly occupying two floors for his private living space.

The property purchase in Barcelona initially sparked speculation in 2021 about Guardiola potentially returning to manage FC Barcelona following Joan Laporta’s election as president. However, this move marked the beginning of a physical separation between Guardiola and Cristina, who relocated to the mansion two years after leaving Manchester.
Described as an ideal location for privacy, the mansion has now become a symbol of the couple’s separation. It remains to be seen where Guardiola will reside during future visits to Barcelona.
