The Adamawa State Police Command has expressed concern over viral social media pictures showing students dressed in Police and Military uniforms during a purported “costume day” celebration.
According to the Command, the students were seen engaging in indecent and unacceptable conduct while in the uniforms, a development that the Police described as portraying the security agencies in a negative light.
In a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, for the Commissioner of Police, CP Morris Dankombo, PSC(+), the Command stressed that unauthorized use of Police uniforms is a criminal offence punishable under the law.
