Electrician electrocuted while working in Lagos

The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the death of a 45-year-old electrician who was electrocuted while attempting to reconnect electricity cables to a pole.

In a statement on Sunday, the command’s spokesperson, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, said the incident occurred on August 10 at about 11:30 a.m. in the Shasha area of the state.

He explained that the electrician collapsed during the reconnection process and was rushed to a nearby hospital after police detectives arrived at the scene.

“He was confirmed dead by the doctor on duty,” Hundeyin stated, adding that an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
