Real Madrid plots massive bid for Man Utd player in January

Real Madrid are reportedly planning to make a £50 million bid for Manchester United right-back Diogo Dalot in the January transfer window. According to FCNN, Los Blancos view the Portugal international as an alternative to their primary target, Trent Alexander-Arnold, who has been heavily linked with a move to the Spanish capital

Alexander-Arnold’s future at Liverpool is uncertain, with his contract set to expire in the summer, and Real Madrid are exploring other options in case they are unable to secure his signature. Dalot, who has been a key player for Manchester United since joining the club in 2018, has been identified as a potential target, and Real Madrid are said to be willing to pay £50 million to bring him to the Santiago Bernabeu.

The 25-year-old has made 186 appearances for Manchester United, scoring six goals and providing 12 assists, and has established himself as one of the top right-backs in the Premier League. However, his form has been inconsistent this season, and he has only managed two assists in 29 games.

Despite this, Real Madrid believe that Dalot has the quality and potential to strengthen their squad, and are willing to pay a significant fee to bring him to the club. The Spanish giants are looking to rebuild their team after a disappointing start to the season, and are targeting several top players to strengthen their squad.

The report also suggests that Real Madrid are short of quality and depth at the heart of their defense, with David Alaba and Eder Militao both out with ACL injuries. This has led to the club using players out of position, such as Aurelien Tchouameni, to fill the gap, and they are looking to bring in new players to strengthen their defense.
