Wike Establishes Teams to Review Abuja Land Titles

The Federal Capital Territory Administration, under the leadership of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, has authorized the formation of vetting teams to expedite the regularization of land allocations across the six area councils of Abuja.

Chijioke Nwankwoeze, the Director of Land Administration for the FCT, announced this initiative during the inauguration of the Vetting Teams in his office on Friday.

He highlighted that the Minister had provided clear directives, mandates, and terms of reference for these teams to ensure timely completion of their tasks.

Nwankwoeze pointed out that the Vetting Teams will address the longstanding issues related to the titling of mass housing plots.

This new approach aims to ensure that all participants in mass housing programs will be accounted for and receive titles for their individual housing units.

He further emphasized that the government has implemented measures to resolve unresolved issues surrounding plot allocations, regularization, and titling for all mass housing initiatives in the Federal Capital Territory

The Director expressed confidence that the establishment of these teams will enhance land administration standards and rebuild public trust in the management of land assets within the territory, noting that the minister is committed to seeing this initiative through to its successful conclusion.
