Obasanjo: Buhari Passed When Nigeria Needed His Wisdom Most

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has mourned the death of his successor, Muhammadu Buhari, who passed away in London at the age of 82.
In a heartfelt tribute delivered on Sunday night in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Obasanjo described Buhari as a committed patriot who dutifully served Nigeria as a soldier, administrator, and statesman.
“It is with a heavy heart that I received news this afternoon of the passing of my colleague, comrade, and co-patriot, General Muhammadu Buhari,” Obasanjo said. “As a soldier, he played his role; as an administrator, he played his role; and as a statesman, he played his role.”
