EPL Final Day Drama: Champions League, Pride and Survival at Stake in Thrilling Season Finale

The 2024/2025 English Premier League (EPL) season reaches its climax this weekend, with the race for European qualification promising a nail-biting finish. While Liverpool have already clinched the title, the fight for top-four spots and Europa places remains wide open.

All Match Day 38 fixtures will kick off simultaneously at 4 p.m. on Sunday, with multiple teams still chasing Champions League dreams, Europa League glory, or simply aiming to end on a high note.

In one of the most anticipated showdowns, Chelsea and surprise package Nottingham Forest go head-to-head for a Champions League slot. With both sides level on points, a win for either side secures a top-four finish.

This high-stakes encounter will be shown live on SuperSport LaLiga (Channel 62).

Manchester United will return to Old Trafford, hoping to bounce back after their painful Europa League final loss to Tottenham. But there’s no time for mourning as Aston Villa arrive with eyes on a Champions League ticket. A victory would complete a stellar season for Unai Emery’s men.

Emery’s goal is clear:

“Emery’s target is definitely a win, which guarantees a place in next year’s Champions League.”

Though United are out of the running, the pride of playing at home means they won’t go easy on the visitors. Fans can follow the action live on SuperSport Football (Channel 61).

Newcastle United also need a win to remain in European contention. They’ll be counting on home support at St. James’ Park to secure three points against Everton, who are already safe from relegation and under no pressure.

Manchester City, uncharacteristically inconsistent this season, face a tricky test against Fulham. Anything less than a win could see them miss out on European competition next season. The match will be live on SuperSport Action (Channel 66).

Meanwhile, Arsenal—already confirmed as league runners-up—will look to end their campaign on a winning note against relegated Southampton, who are preparing for life back in the Championship alongside Ipswich Town and Leicester City. Watch this one live on SuperSport EPL (Channel 65).
