FG Postpones Opening of Recruitment Portal for Immigration, Civil Defence, Others

The Federal Government has announced a postponement in the opening of its recruitment portal for several paramilitary agencies, including the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS), and the Federal Fire Service (FFS).

Originally scheduled to open on Monday, July 14, the portal will now be accessible from Monday, July 21, 2025.

In a statement released by the Secretary of the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB), Maj. Gen. Abdulmalik Jibrin (rtd), the suspension affects the portal at https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng, which handles applications for these agencies.

The government emphasized that the decision to delay the process is intended to ensure a smooth, transparent, and fair recruitment exercise.

Authorities also expressed appreciation for the enthusiasm of young Nigerians eager to serve the nation through these institutions.
