Emmanuel Fayose Enters Ekiti Gubernatorial Race to Oust Governor Oyebanji

Emmanuel Fayose, a prominent member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and the younger brother of former Governor Ayodele Fayose, has officially declared his candidacy for the Ekiti gubernatorial election, expressing his determination to unseat the incumbent Governor Biodun Oyebanji.
In an interview with reporters in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital, Fayose articulated his ambition to secure the PDP nomination and ultimately triumph in the 2026 elections.

His campaign promises emphasize economic growth, infrastructure development, and youth empowerment, with a commitment to prioritizing the people’s needs. Fayose assured voters that his leadership approach would differ significantly from that of the current administration, which he accused of neglecting residents’ welfare.
“This is more than just a political endeavor for me; it concerns the future of our state,” he stated
