Man Allegedly Murders Photographer, Stores Body in Fridge in Lokoja, Kogi State.

A suspected murder involving a staff of the Nigerian Correctional Service has shocked residents of Lokoja, as a young photographer, Ayo Aiyepeku, was gruesomely killed and butchered by a man identified as Oluwapelumi Adebayo.

The chilling incident occurred late night at a video editing office near the Kogi Chieftaincy Lodge, close to the Government House. Both men reportedly worked together editing videos before the tragic event unfolded.

According to eyewitness accounts, Adebayo allegedly lured Ayo outside the office, struck him fatally on the head, and dismembered his body. The remains were said to have been stuffed into a refrigerator, which he placed in the back of his Hilux van.

The suspect reportedly attempted to flee the scene quietly. However, an eyewitness who stumbled upon the disturbing discovery immediately alerted the police. Adebayo was said to have been given a hot chase by security operatives but managed to escape, abandoning his dented vehicle behind.

Further investigation revealed that the suspect is allegedly an officer of the Nigerian Correctional Service in Lokoja. He is also said to have a violent history. Reports indicate that his wife fled to Abuja recently, after he allegedly attempted to kill her during a domestic altercation.

Occupation: Alleged staff of Nigerian Correctional Service, Lokoja

As of press time, the suspect remains at large. Police authorities have launched a manhunt and are urging anyone with information on his whereabouts to report immediately.

The incident has sparked outrage in Lokoja, with many calling for swift justice for the slain photographer.
