Tears as Father, Mother, Son killed by Herdsmen are Buried in Ngban
A wave of grief swept through Ngban village in Nyiev Ward of Guma Local Government Area as a family of three father, mother, and child were laid to rest after falling victim to separate attacks by suspected Fulani herdsmen.
Citizen Television gathered that the father, Mr. Iorhen, had been killed in an earlier assault and his body kept in a mortuary awaiting burial. Before the family could mourn his loss, tragedy struck again his wife, Mrs. Mlumun Iorhen, and their son, Terkimbi, were brutally killed yesterday while working on their farm.
Residents say the latest killings are part of a grim and escalating pattern of attacks in Guma and across other parts of Benue State, where farming communities continue to suffer displacement, hunger, and trauma due to ongoing violence.
“This is where we are today—life is short, brutal, and nasty,” a community elder lamented, describing the pain and fear gripping local families.
