Tetracore Partners with Dangote Cement to Boost CNG Adoption in Logistics

In alignment with President Bola Tinubu’s Presidential Compressed Natural Gas Initiative (Pi-CNG), Tetracore Energy has announced a strategic partnership with Dangote Cement, a subsidiary of the Dangote Group, to enhance the supply of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) for logistics operations.

Under this agreement, Tetracore will deliver 400,000 standard cubic metres (SCM) of CNG to meet Dangote Cement’s growing auto CNG demand. The partnership aims to ensure that the logistic fleet of Dangote Cement, as well as other auto CNG users, are adequately served.

To achieve this, Tetracore will deploy advanced mobile refilling units and establish mother stations strategically located across Nigeria. This infrastructure will guarantee seamless access and reliability for Dangote’s logistics operations and contribute to the broader adoption of cleaner energy solutions nationwide.

Highlighting the significance of the partnership, Dayo Williams, Tetracore’s programme executive, stated:

“This collaboration underscores Tetracore’s commitment to advancing sustainable energy solutions. By collaborating with Dangote Cement, we are supporting one of the nation’s largest logistic operations, and driving adoption of CNG, a cleaner, more efficient fuel option.”

The initiative not only aligns with the federal government’s vision of transitioning to greener energy but also reinforces the role of CNG as a sustainable and efficient alternative for powering logistics and transportation in Nigeria.
