Tinubu appoints Ismaila as NCAT rector

Dr. Danjuma Adamu Ismaila has been appointed as the Rector and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT), Zaria by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
This was revealed in a statement issued by Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy Bayo Onanuga.
Dr. Ismaila is a seasoned expert in air transportation management, transport economic policy, and aviation security.
Dr. Danjuma Adamu Ismaila is a graduate of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, where he earned a degree in Physics in 1989 before furthering his expertise with a Postgraduate Diploma in Transportation.
He Is also a distinguished member of the Royal Aeronautical Society (UK) and the Air Transport Research Society, among other professional bodies.
Dr. Ismaila, before his appointment, served as a lecturer at the Federal University of Transportation, Daura, as well as contribute to the academic and professional development of future transport and aviation professionals.

The new rector appointment is expected to strengthen NCAT’s role in training aviation professionals, enhancing Nigeria’s aviation industry, and aligning the institution with global best practices in aviation technology and safety.
