Tinubu Decorates Newly Appointed Service Chiefs at Presidential Villa

President Bola Tinubu has decorated the newly appointed Service Chiefs with their new ranks during a ceremony held at the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The event followed the confirmation of the Service Chiefs by the National Assembly. Present at the ceremony were Vice President Kashim Shettima, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Speaker Tajudeen Abbas, NSA Nuhu Ribadu, and other top government officials.

The new Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Oluyede, replaced General Christopher Musa. Major General Wahidi Shaibu was appointed Chief of Army Staff, Air Vice Marshal S.K. Aneke became Chief of Air Staff and Rear Admiral Idi Abbas took over as Chief of Naval Staff. Major-General E.A.P. Undiendeye retained his position as Chief of Defence Intelligence but was promoted to Lieutenant General.

The President congratulated the Service Chiefs and urged them to strengthen national security and uphold professionalism in their new roles.
