Tinubu leaves Abuja for Abu Dhabi

The President of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has left Abuja for Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), in order to participate in the 2025 edition of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW 2025).
President Tinubu, who Flew out from the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, at about 6:30pm on Saturday was seen off by some senior officials of the administration.
Some of the officials were the Chief of Staff to the President, Hon Femi Gbajabiamila, and the Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Abdullahi Ganduje.
The theme of this year: “The Nexus of Next: Supercharging Sustainable Progress,” ADSW 2025 will create avenue for policymakers, business leaders, and civil society representatives from around the world to explore innovative strategies for accelerating sustainable development and fostering global socioeconomic progress.
The annual summit which is also a global platform for advancing sustainable solutions, has been a cornerstone of international collaboration for over 15 years.
It Is also known for facilitating high-value agreements, strategic partnerships, and impactful initiatives that drive clean energy innovation and global growth.
The President during the event will highlight his administration’s achievements and ongoing reforms targeted at advancing energy sufficiency, modernising transportation, improving public health, and fostering economic development.
President Tinubu participation will also underscores Nigeria’s commitment to addressing global challenges through sustainable and collaborative approaches.
Furthermore, the President and his delegation will engage in bilateral discussions with the leadership of the UAE to explore opportunities for strengthening ties and addressing mutual interests before returning to Nigeria on Thursday, January 16, following what promises to be a pivotal event for advancing Nigeria’s sustainability agenda on the global stage.
