Although details of the meeting were not immediately disclosed, the high-level briefing comes hours after the release of abducted Catholic school students and worshippers in Kwara State — an incident that drew national attention to Nigeria’s worsening security challenges.

The presidency is expected to issue a statement once the briefing concludes.
