Top Boko Haram/ISWAP Commander Abu Fatima Eliminated in Borno Strike
In a decisive counter-terrorism victory, Special Forces under Operation HADIN KAI have eliminated a key Boko Haram/ISWAP commander, Amir Abu Fatima, during a precision operation on May 30, 2025, in the Kukawa area of Northern Borno State.
Acting on credible intelligence, the strike targeted Abu Fatima—a high-value terrorist leader with a ₦100 million bounty on his head. He was fatally shot during a fierce gun battle, alongside his deputy, bomb-making experts, and several other insurgents.

The troops recovered multiple AK-47 rifles, ammunition, explosives, and materials used in constructing improvised explosive devices (IEDs). Remarkably, the operation was executed without any casualties among Nigerian forces.
