Court Sentences Timileyin Ajayi to Death by Hanging for Brutal Murder of Corps Member Salome Adaidu
The High Court sitting in Lafia, Nasarawa State, has sentenced Oluwatimileyin Ajayi to death by hanging for the gruesome killing of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member, Salome Adaidu.
Justice Simon Aboki, who delivered the judgment, found Ajayi guilty of murdering and dismembering the young corps member in a crime that shocked the nation.
Ajayi was charged with one count of culpable homicide, an offence contrary to Section 221 of the Penal Code of Northern Nigeria and punishable by death.
The court ruled that the prosecution had proven its case beyond reasonable doubt, leading to the capital sentence.
