The troops of the 3 Division/Operation SAFE HAVEN have apprehended two infamous kidnappers, Bashir Mohammed and Ismail Mohammad. The arrest took place on March 15, 2025, during a well-coordinated raid under Operation LAFIYAN JAMA’A at Katume High Grounds in Bassa LGA. Plateau State.
Acting on credible intelligence, the troops stormed the kidnappers’ hideout, a location frequently used to conceal victims while negotiating ransoms. During the operation, security forces recovered one AK-47 rifle and one AK-47 magazine, further crippling the activities of these criminal elements.

The arrested suspects are currently in custody and have begun making useful confessions that will aid security forces in tracking down their accomplices and recovering additional weapons.
