Kwara SUBEB Teachers Receive Pending Salaries,Bonuses

The Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Kwara State Chapter, has assured SUBEB teachers in the state that the payment of their pending December 2024 tax bonuses and January 2025 salaries will be resolved soon.
In a statement jointly signed by the chairman comrade Yusuf Wahab Agboola and the Principal Assistant Secretary-General, Moni Mike Modesty Itua, the union noted that it has been in a series of meetings and consultations with relevant government ministries, departments, and agencies to address the issues.
The statement disclosed that the December 2024 tax bonus for SUBEB teachers is being finalised, and payment alerts are expected to be received shortly.

On the issue of unpaid January 2025 salaries affecting over 1,800 SUBEB teaching and non-teaching staff, the union attributed the delay to challenges with the banking Interswitch and NIBSS internet network.
While acknowledging the hardship caused by the delayed payments, the NUT leadership appealed to affected teachers to exercise patience as efforts to address the situation are in top gear.
