The Ekiti State Police Command has confirmed the sudden death of a woman who reportedly slumped at a popular hotel in Ado-Ekiti on Tuesday.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Sunday Abutu, the deceased was a staff member of the hotel.
He stated during a phone conversation with journalists that she was immediately rushed to the hospital, where she was later confirmed dead.
Abutu further disclosed that an investigation is currently underway, with several hotel staff invited for questioning to determine the circumstances surrounding her death.
He added that an autopsy would be conducted to support the ongoing investigation.
