Why Plateau Court Granted Bail to 20 Suspects Accused of Killing Wedding Guests

The Plateau State High Court has granted bail to 20 suspects accused of involvement in the killing of 13 wedding guests in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State.

The tragic incident occurred days ago when a group of youths reportedly attacked wedding attendees traveling from Zaria to Jos in a vehicle belonging to Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria.

Following investigations, the suspects were arraigned before the court to face charges related to the killings. At today’s hearing, the court granted them bail, with the case adjourned to October 13, 2025, for further proceedings.
