The American dream turned into a nightmare, for 23-year-old Tamilore Odunsi, a British-Nigerian nursing student and rising TikTok star, who was found brutally stabbed to death in her apartment just days before she was set to graduate.

The Tik Tok star who is known to her 30,000 TikTok followers as “Tami Dollars,” Tamilore had moved from London to the U.S. in 2022 to chase her dream of becoming a pediatric nurse.

Her final TikTok post, filled with joy and anticipation, showed her celebrating the nearing end of her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. Now, instead of celebrating her graduation, her family is mourning her senseless death.

FCNN gathered that the shocking incident unfolded in Houston when police conducted a welfare check after concerns were raised by a family friend. Inside her apartment, officers discovered Tamilore’s body she had suffered multiple stab wounds. Even more chilling: a man, believed to be a newly-arrived flatmate she reportedly barely knew, was found in a bedroom, also stabbed and now in critical condition.

Police are treating the case as a homicide but have yet to release further details as the investigation unfolds. The identity and motive of the man found injured remain under scrutiny, leaving the public speculating about what really happened in that apartment.

Tamilore’s devastated family described her as a God-fearing, compassionate young woman, passionate about helping children through healthcare. “She was the light of our lives,” one relative said.

A GoFundMe campaign launched to cover repatriation and funeral costs has already raised over £29,000 as tributes pour in from across the world.

As questions swirl and details remain scarce, the internet is gripped by the tragic end of a young life full of promise, ambition and mystery.
