Yuletide: Ogun police arrest man for stealing bike

No fewer than four suspects have been arrested by the Ogun State Police Command for allegedly stealing a motorcycle and a gas cylinder in the Ajuwon Community and Odeda areas.
Fusion Chronicles Nigeria Newspaper gathered that on Wednesday the three suspects were arrested by police operatives attached to the Ajuwon and Odeda divisions on Tuesday in a series of arrests related to theft and assault.
The suspects identified as Joseph Ogu and Sunday Jeremiah were arrested for alleged theft while Isikilu Azeez and Faruq Azeez were apprehended for allegedly attacking local security operatives who were attempting to arrest a fleeing suspect, identified only as Lati, in the Iyana-Efon area of Odeda.
The spokesperson for the command, Omolola Odutola, stated that a commercial motorcyclist, Adebiyi Philip, had parked his Bajaj Boxer motorcycle with the number plate TRE 228 WZ at Alapara Junction while searching for a passenger.
Upon returning, Odutola said the commercial motorcyclist discovered that his motorcycle was missing from the spot where he had parked it.
After conducting a thorough search, the command noted that Adebiyi found the motorcycle with Ogu, a 33-year-old man, who was caught tampering with its key and security system.
The suspect, Odutola said, was arrested and detained by police operatives while the motorcycle was recovered from the scene, adding that the matter was under investigation.
