Kano Government Partners with Chinese Investors on Electric Tricycle Assembly Plant

The Kano State Government has agreed to partner with Chinese investors to establish an electric tricycle assembly plant in the state.

The State Commissioner for Transport, Alhaji Ibrahim Ali Namadi Dala, disclosed this while receiving the management team of Data Analytics Nigeria Limited, the company responsible for assembling the new technology in Kano State.

Speaking on the significance of the initiative, especially during this period of economic challenges and rising petroleum product prices, the commissioner emphasized the state’s commitment to supporting the company and its Chinese investors in setting up the electric tricycle assembly plant in Nigeria.

He further stated that the Kano State Government has, in principle, agreed to welcome Chinese investors and companies to assemble electric tricycles in the state through the establishment of an assembly plant.

An assembled electric tricycle was introduced to the government through the Kano State Ministry of Transport to enhance effective transportation services.

On his part, the Director of Data Analytics Nigeria Limited, Alhaji Mubarak Ahmed Tijjani, explained that the company made a presentation of the product in collaboration with Chinese investors to achieve the set objectives.

He noted that the high cost of fuel has had a negative multiplier effect, worsening the economic hardship caused by transportation expenses. He added that this new technology would significantly improve Nigeria’s economy and help reduce the financial burden on the people.
