An 18-year-old apprentice has become the center of a shocking scandal in Anambra State after allegedly impregnating ten girls within just five months — including his boss’s daughter and a salesgirl during his early apprenticeship.
The news was brought to light by the Anambra State Commissioner for Women and Social Welfare, Ify Obinabo, during a live social media broadcast. According to Obinabo, the teenager began his trade training under a master, but within three months, he reportedly impregnated the master’s daughter and another employee, leading to his expulsion from the apprenticeship.
The situation spiraled further after the apprentice returned to his village, where he allegedly impregnated eight more girls within just two months.

The apprentice’s mother, visibly distressed, approached the Commissioner’s office for help, stating, “Anytime I see a girl coming towards our house nowadays, my heart would jump. Please, I need help.”
Commissioner Obinabo expressed concern over the alarming pattern, admitting that the issue may have deeper roots, possibly spiritual. “This matter is beyond me,” she said, appealing for public support and suggestions.
In her interview with the boy, he reportedly said he convinces the girls by telling them he loves them and will marry them once he becomes wealthy.
Due to the sensitive nature of the case, Obinabo withheld names and specific community details. However, her call for public input highlights the urgency and complexity of the situation, which has sparked widespread attention and debates.
