Bago Expresses Sympathy Over More than 150 Victims of Niger Flood

Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has expressed his sympathy to the people of Mokwa Local Government Area over a devastating flood that claimed several lives and destroyed property on Thursday.
FCNN gathered that the flood occurred in Tiffin Maza and Anguwan Hausawa Communities in Mokwa town after heavy downpour.
The Governor described the incident as “saddening, heartbreaking and pathetic” and offered his condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and property.

He directed the Niger State Emergency Management Agency to take immediate action to assess the situation and provide succour to those affected.
The Governor called on the people of Mokwa to remain calm, assuring them that the State Government will work tirelessly to ensure their safety.
