The spokesman further explained that the arrest was made by officers attached to the ‘B’ Divisional Police Headquarters after complaints were lodged by three victims who claimed that Adamu had collected N200,000 from them, promising to secure employment for them in the Nigerian Army.

Despite the payment, the applicants were never invited to the Nigerian Army Depot for training, as promised.Upon arrest, Adamu confessed that he had been dismissed from the Nigerian Army a few months earlier for being absent without leave for a year.

He also admitted to using the money for personal expenses. The Command, therefore, urged the public to remain cautious and report individuals offering fraudulent job opportunities. The Command also assured that Adamu will face prosecution after the investigation is concluded.
