Buhari returns to Kaduna home

Muhammadu Buhari, former president of Nigeria has returned to his Kaduna residence in Kaduna State after two years in Daura, Katsina State since he left office in May 2023.

Kashim Shettima, the Vice-President Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum and his Kaduna State counterpart Uba Sani were among the dignitaries who accompanied the former president to the building.

Bashir Ahmad, his former aide, wrote on X saying ,“Today (Thursday), former President Muhammadu Buhari has returned to his Kaduna residence after spending two years in Daura, Katsina State, since leaving office,”

“After completing his tenure, he opted for a quiet life in his hometown and largely stayed out of active political discussions, focusing on private engagements,” Ahmad added.

Last month, Buhari said he has been living off the income from renting out one of his two houses in Kaduna.
