Cedrus Group Strengthens Leadership with Strategic Executive Appointments

Cedrus Group Africa has reinforced its executive team with the appointments of Oladele Akinjo as Group Executive Director, Investment Banking and Asset Management, and Tadeni Balogun as Group Company Secretary and Director, Legal & Resources.
The Pan-African financial services group announced the appointments in a statement released on Monday and shared with reporters on Tuesday.
According to the company, these additions are part of its broader strategy to enhance institutional capacity and drive accelerated growth across its subsidiaries—Cedrus Capital, Cedrus Asset Management, Cedrus Microfinance Bank, Cedrus Trustees, and its issuing house.
Akinjo brings over 14 years of experience in investment banking, having led transformative transactions across the infrastructure, energy, and financial services sectors in Africa. Prior to joining Cedrus, he served as Senior Vice President at Coronation Asset Management, where he spearheaded Nigeria’s largest debut infrastructure fund issuance.
He holds an Executive MBA from HEC Paris, is a chartered accountant, and graduated with First Class Honours in Economics.
Balogun joins with more than 20 years of expertise in legal, regulatory, and governance matters. She has held key roles in both public and private institutions, including IBILE Holdings and Nestoil. A Chartered Secretary and seasoned trusts practitioner, she previously oversaw public trust mandates worth over N5 trillion during her time at United Capital Trustees.
She holds a law degree from Obafemi Awolowo University and an LLM from the University of Jos.
Group CEO Olubusayo Adeniyi described the appointments as instrumental to Cedrus’ long-term vision: “The depth of expertise that Oladele and Tadeni bring is exactly what Cedrus needs as we consolidate our vision of becoming a premier, integrated financial services group on the continent. Their leadership will further drive innovation, operational excellence, and trusted relationships as we serve diverse client segments.”
The company reiterated its dedication to being a trusted partner for investors, businesses, governments, and individuals seeking ethical and innovative financial solutions.
