Enugu Native Doctor Busted with Guns, Ammo, and Cult Ties
The Enugu State Police Command has apprehended a native doctor after a shocking discovery of firearms and ammunition hidden inside his shrine in Ugwuochie-Iwollo, Ezeagu Local Government Area.
According to a statement released on Monday, officers of the Police Special Anti-Cultism Squad recovered a locally made pistol, a revolver, a spent .38-calibre shell, a live .38-calibre round, and a live cartridge during a targeted raid on the suspect’s shrine.
The bust followed a confessional statement made by the suspect after his initial arrest. Further investigation revealed that the native doctor is allegedly a member of the notorious Black Axe confraternity.
“The recovery followed the suspect’s confessional statement after his earlier arrest, as well as a subsequent raid on the shrine by our operatives,” the police said.
